Mark Knopfler’s latest album, Privateering, is being released in the U.S. on September 10, one year and one week after it was originally issued in the U.K. and Australia, and he is planning just four shows to promote it.
The critically acclaimed two-CD set originally saw Knopfler go out on tour to seventy European cities but, because of a disagreement between the artist and Warner Brothers, he had nothing to promote on these shores.
With the release of the album, he has announced just four shows for Privateering and all are on the west coast. It is unknown if additional dates will be scheduled.

10/26 – Los Angeles, CA – Wiltern Theater
10/27 – Oakland, CA – Fox Theater
