Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’, a song which peaked at number two in the Official Singles Chart in the UK, is the most streamed Christmas track of 2015 in the UK on Prime Music.

The festive classic just beat Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl into second place, with Boney M.’s 1978 hit Mary’s Boy Child – Oh My Lord coming third.

Chris Rea’s Driving Home for Christmas takes fourth place – a favourite for those travelling to friends and family for the festive period – just ahead of Wham’s Last Christmas and Elton John’s Step Into Christmas. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard is in seventh place on the list, followed by fellow glam-rockers Slade with Merry Xmas Everybody in eighth place.

The ninth most streamed track is Once In Royal David’s City by Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, with It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas by Perry Como rounding off the top ten.

Amazon also announced that 2009’s Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine remains the best-selling Christmas number one of all time on the Amazon Digital Music store, ahead of Something I Need by last year’s X-Factor winner Ben Haenow, and Wherever You Are by The Military Wives Choir.
