Marking 50 years since the company produced its first line of amps ‘ JTM 45 – 2012 sees Marshall celebrate ’50 years of loud’. Teaming up with purveyors of rock Hard Rock Cafe, the brand has allowed members of the public across the continent to experience a piece of rock history.

After visiting Barcelona, Rome, Paris, Berlin and now London, the Amp has attracted attention from music enthusiasts spanning the continent. It will now be making a guest appearance in Hard Rock Cafe London’s music museum ‘The Vault’ until August 3rd. It will then travel across the waters to Hard Rock Cafe New York for the month of August after that.

Born in 1962 the music amplification company was founded by its namesake Jim Marshall, who created the first of the company’s amps with technical engineer Ken Bran. Sadly Jim passed away earlier this year; however his spirit lives on in sound through the use of Marshall Amps throughout the music world.

Someone at the time commented that it was like watching four businessmen in the Qantas Club sending emails to each other.
