in Live,News

The Rolling Stones have added the old ‘Goats Head Soup’ classic ‘(Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo) Heartbreaker’ into their set for the good people of Milwaukee.

‘Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo’ is a relatively rare song for The Stones to play with this performance being just the 99th time the band has played the song in 42 years.

The Stones last played ‘Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo’ in 2007 in Serbia. It was performed in New Zealand in 1995 and has never been played live by the Rolling Stones in Australia.

‘Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo’ made its live debut at a Stones show in Germany on September 3, 1973 and was a regular part of the set back then but after July 1975 it was rested for nearly 20 years.

‘(Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo) Heartbreaker’ was the second single from ‘Goat’s Head Soup’ and was the single between ‘Angie’ (1973) and the title track from the next album ‘Its Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It) (1974).

Blues legend Buddy Guy opened for the band also joined the Stones for ‘Champagne and Reefer’.
