Tina Arena To Star In Australian Production Of Evita

Tina Arena has scored the role of Eva Peron in the 2018 Australian production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita.

“I am absolutely thrilled that my wish that Hal Prince’s wonderful production of Evita should be seen again is to be fulfilled, and to renew my association with Tina Arena,” Andrew Lloyd Webber said in a statement.

Tina starred in Webber’s 1993 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’. She has also appeared in the stage shows ‘Nine’, Dynamite’ and the West End production of ‘Chicago’ as Roxie Hart.

Madonna played the Eva Peron role in the movie version of ‘Evita’.

Evita will open at Sydney’s Joan Sutherland Theatre at the Sydney Opera House on 13 September 2018.
