Six decades after The Doors first emerged from Los Angeles to redefine rock music, surviving members John Densmore and Robby Krieger have revisited one of the band's most enduring works through a new global collaboration with Playing For Change. The project brings a reimagined version of Riders On The Storm to life, uniting musicians and dancers from across the world in a performance that honours the legacy of The Doors while reinforcing music's power to connect cultures. The project includes an appearance from Australia’s William Barton.

Playing For Change has announced a major global tribute marking the 60th anniversary of The Doors, unveiling a new “Riders On The Storm” Song Around The World set to premiere on January 9, 2026. The project brings together surviving Doors members John Densmore and Robby Krieger, honours the late Ray Manzarek, and features the unmistakable recorded vocals of Jim Morrison, reintroduced through a worldwide, cross cultural performance spanning eight countries.

The Doors' 60th anniversary was marked with a spectacular, one-night-only tribute concert at Los Angeles' legendary Greek Theatre on 30 October 2025. “A 60th Anniversary Doors Celebration” brought together generations of musicians to honour one of rock's most transformative bands and their landmark 1970 album Morrison Hotel.

The Doors' legendary guitarist Robby Krieger will mark the band's 60th anniversary with an all-star concert at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on 30 October, joined by some of rock's most iconic names including Perry Farrell, Billy Idol, Steve Stevens, Deryck Whibley, Robert DeLeo, Orianthi, and more.

The Doors’ newly issued Live in Bakersfield, August 21, 1970 is one of the most compelling live documents to surface from the band’s archives in years. Released on both CD and limited edition vinyl, the concert captures Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore in a unique and unpredictable setting.

‘Songs from the Canyon’, a show featuring the music of Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Mamas & The Papas, The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Carole King, The Doors and many more will be performed at part of the Live at the Gardens series.

The Doors live album ‘Live in Vancouver 1970’, released physically in 2010, has been finally added to streaming services.
