Extreme are back in Australia for what is only their third ever Australian tour. Extreme first toured Australia in 1993 and then not again until 2018. That may seem infrequent but then again so are the albums. There have only been six Extreme albums in 35 years.

Living Colour are back in Australia for the first time since 2018 and their song of choice to open the first show of the Australian tour was Led Zeppelin’s classic ‘Rock and Roll’.

Nuno Bettencourt says Extreme are faced with a good problem to have being that the audience is loving the new music, but still wants to hear the old live. It means the band has to think hard about the setlist.

The Extreme ‘Six’ album was a long time coming. Guitarist Nuno Bettercourt blames the pandemic for the delay but was it? “The album would have been out earlier if it wasn’t for the crazy lockdown,” Nuno tells Noise11.com. “We wanted to wait. We didn’t want to be another soundtrack for the old pandemic. We wanted to celebrate this and actually tour so we waited”.
