A Day On The Green is expanding its line-up and heading to Armidale and Mudgee in October with 12 acts on each show.

Eurogliders, Richard Clapton, Mi-Sex, Glenn Shorrock, 1927, Rose Tattoo, Mark Gable (The Choirboys), Gangajang, Thirsty Merc, Steve Kilbey (The Church) and Wendy Matthews will perform at both concerts, with Ross Wilson also taking to the stage in Mudgee and Swanee in Armidale.

Grace Knight said, “the comradery between all the artists is so fantastic. We get to catch up with each other and discuss gigs and touring stories… not the kind for public consumption! The shows are high energy with hit after hit after hit smashed out. Every song comes with a happy memory. The audiences go ballistic, it’s such great fun for the performer and the audience. Bernie and I love doing these shows!”

The shows will also give each of the acts 20-minutes showtime so fans will be guaranteed multiple songs from ever act.

The Church’s Steve Kilbey said, “It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear a load of great hit songs and meet a load of old friends. a day on the green will be a trip down memory lane and music galore for all the old and young dudes.”

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
