Leo Sayer Gets On The Ute For Mardi Gras

Pop legend Leo Sayer will perform at Sydney’s Mardi Gras tonight on the back of a Ute.

Leo is lined up for Glamstand at Moore Park getting underway from 5:30pm today.

The host of the event is Tim Cambell. Sarah McLeod, Kate Munroe and Vanessa Wagner will also appear at the Glamstand event.

Leo, who now lives in Sydney and has become an Australian citizen, said in a statement, “Oh I love the Sydney Mardi Gras. It’s just so Sydney – brash, loud, colourful and outrageous – and Glamstand 2012 is gonna go off! I’m thrilled to have been invited and really looking forward to performing for the Glamstand crowd. I’ll put a thunder in the audience’s hearts and make everyone feel like dancing.”

Leo will ute up at 8:15 this evening.
