Madonna will play a one-off Australian club show at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on March 10.

The Forum has a capacity of 1500 people.

Madonna will perform the special ‘Tears Of A Clown’ show. According to Live Nation it will feature music, art and comedy suggesting Madonna might reprise her one-time Jimmy Fallon performance at least in part.

“I’m kind of a closet comedian,” she told Jimmy Fallon. “My dream is … simplicity”.

Madonna said in a statement, “I wanted to do something special for Australia because you have been so patient and waited so long – the “Tears of a Clown” show will make its debut on March 10th. Performance art, comedy, story telling and music of course! Especially for you my Rebel Heart fans down under!”

The Madonna tour will start in Auckland, New Zealand on March 5 and head to Australia next week.

Madonna dates

March 5 and 6, Auckland, Vector Arena
March 10, Melbourne, Forum Theatre
March 12 and 13, Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
March 16 and 17, Brisbane, Entertainment Centre
March 19 and 20, Sydney, Allphones Arena
