Sharon Osbourne has been “uplifted” by the overwhelming support from fans following her marriage split from husband Ozzy.

The rock matriarch kicked the Black Sabbath frontman, 67, out of their marital home last week amid reports of his infidelity.

Sharon unexpectedly took a day off from her co-hosting gig on U.S. show The Talk on Monday, but when she returned to her day job on Tuesday, she confirmed the couple had separated.

“I’m not with him,” she stated in her first public comments since the break-up. “I just need time to really think about myself… what do I really want for the rest of my life? I’m 63 years of age, and I can’t keep living like this.”

Sharon also admitted she was undecided about filing for divorce after more than 33 years as Ozzy’s wife, and revealed she had avoided reading comments about her relationship woes online and in the press.

However, she was encouraged by her The Talk co-hosts, including actresses Sara Gilbert and Aisha Tyler, to log on to social media, because the response to her actions from the public was incredibly positive.

Sharon did as suggested and during Wednesday’s (11May16) show, she expressed her gratitude to all of her friends and fans.

“Yesterday I said that I hadn’t looked at any articles or anything that was written about my husband and I, and the girls here said I have to go on social media and see and have a look,” Sharon told viewers, “and I was just overwhelmed by the reaction and just so much love and it’s just amazing.”

Growing tearful, she added, “I’m just uplifted, and again, thank you all so very, very much.”

Sharon reiterated her sentiments online, taking to Twitter to write, “Huge thanks to everyone that has been so supportive to me with kind words & wishes. I wish their (sic) was another word I could use than thank you”.
