Chet Faker, Courtney Barnett, John Butler Trio, Sia and Violent Soho are this year’s five nominees for Best Independent Artist at the Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards.

Sia, Chet Faker and RÜFÜS have each received three nominations while Melbourne singer songwriter Courtney Barnett is up for two.

The Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards will be held in Melbourne on October 8.
