A couple of weeks back, Something For Kate officially announced their sixth album Leave Your Soul To Science and now they supply the first sounds from the album, releasing a song titled ‘Survival Expert’.

You can get a sneak peek at iTunes, and pick the track up there as well.

And if that’s only got you salivating for more, they’ve announced two shows in Melbourne and Sydney where they’ll roadtest some new material as well as play some SFK favourites. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday 7 August, at midday from the venues and are sure to go lightning fast.

Don’t worry if you miss out, though, as they’ll soon announce a full album tour for October. Leave Your Soul To Science will be released on September 28.

Something For Kate Preview Shows
Monday 20 August – Annandale Hotel, Sydney
Tuesday 21 August – Northcote Social Club, Melbourne

Motion City Soundtrack Step Back Into the Spotlight With The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World

When Motion City Soundtrack first appeared at the turn of the millennium, they were the unlikely bridge between Midwest punk energy and geeky lyrical introspection. Fast-forward nearly three decades, and the Minneapolis quintet are back with The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World, their first album since 2015's Panic Stations. For a band that once declared “Don't Call It a Comeback” on their debut I Am The Movie, the phrase feels especially fitting as they re-emerge with their sharpest set of songs in years.
