Pop-punk veterans The Dickies are heading to Australia and New Zealand for the first time ever.

The Dickies sprung out of LA’s San Fernando Valley in 1977 as the Sex Pistols were firing up in the UK. The Dickies were called bubble-gum punk because of their humorous take on punk with their covers of ‘Banana Splits’, ‘Paranoid’ and ‘Eve Of Destruction’.

The Dickies had their live debut at the famed Whiskey a Go Go on Sunset Blvd and quickly picked up a record deal with herb Alpert’s A&M Records.

Since 1977, The Dickies have had 23 members. Over the years various personal and drug issued led to the death of members Chuck Wagon (1981), Idjit Savant (1996), Karlos Kabellero (2009) and Enoch Hain (2009).
