Neil Young and Crazy Horse Ruled Out Of SXSW 2013

Neil Young and Crazy Horse will be back in Australia in March 2013 for A Day On The Green and arena dates. That rules out of the possibility of Young playing SXSW or Bluesfest for 2013.

Young’s last Aussie dates with Crazy Horse were 2003 on the ‘Greendale’ tour.

This tour will feature Young at Bimbadgen Winery in the Hunter Valley on March 9 and The Hill Winery in Geelong on March 16.

Crazy Horse is Neil’s rock band featuring Billy Talbot (bass), Ralph Molina (drums) and Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro (guitar).

This year Young and Crazy Horse released two albums ‘Americana’ and ‘Psychedelic Pill’.

Sunday, March 10 – Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney (All Ages)

March 15 – 2013 Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne (All Ages)
Saturday, March 16 – The Hill Winery, Geelong (All Ages)
New Zealand dates:
Tuesday, March 19 – TSB Bank Arena, Wellington (All Ages)
Thursday, March 21 – Vector Arena, Auckland (All Ages)

March and April 2013 is shaping up to be the biggest touring month every in Australia. With Neil Young & Crazy Horse for A Day On The Green and Robert Plant, Santana, Ben Harper, Iggy & The Stooges, Steve Miller, Bonnie Raitt, Wilco and Chris Isaak at Bluesfest, Australia will be the centre of the music universe at that time.
