Kiwi rock n’ roll champions The Datsuns will launch their new album with East Coast shows and a fresh video.

The Datsuns

The quartet burst through in the 2000s on the back of the retro-rock revolution but they were always one of the most wild and genuine acts of the era.

Their new album, Death Rattle Boogie, is their fifth and comes out ten years to the day after their monster self-titled debut (that’s October 12, for those with lax memories).

They recorded it at singer Dolf’s Swedish studio, as well as Neil Finn’s Auckland studio, and had the Hellacopters Nicke Andersson on hand to advise.

To celebrate a decade of maximum riffage, The Datsuns will bring their new tunes and modern classics to the East Coast of Australia in December.

Tickets are available from Oztix for all shows except ther Festival Of The Sun, and Melbourne’s Espy shows which are free! The clip to ‘Gold Halo’ is below the dates. And remember, Death Rattle Boogie is out October 12.
