The 61 songwriter and composer finalists for the 2025 APRA Professional Development Awards (PDA) have been revealed and are now one step closer to receiving one of 13 awards when they’re announced in Sydney on Thursday 13 February.

Australia’s Hello Sunshine Festival, featuring Stone Temple Pilots, Smash Mouth, Wolfmother and Kasey Chambers, has been axed.

The Waifs will play a stack of regional dates as they tour the country as part of the Summersalt music festival.

The first song played was Skyhooks ‘You Just Like Me ‘Cos I’m Good In Bed’ chosen because it was Australian, it was rebellious (because the song was banned at the time which reflected the rebellious image of the station) and being part of the ABC was not subject to the licencing laws of the commercial radio stations.

Skyhooks classic ‘Living In The 70s’ album has been remastered (again) by David Briggs to mark the 50th anniversary of the album.
