Nick Murphy, better known to many as Chet Faker, has announced a new studio album, A Love For Strangers, due February 13, 2026 on BMG, and has released a buoyant lead single, This Time For Real, to whet appetites. The single arrives with a playful, kinetic video that follows Murphy as Chet Faker tearing through New York City by jet ski, sports car and pedicab, a jaunty visual that matches the song's anthemic, self-aware charm.

Live Nation has unveiled the complete line-up for the 2025 On The Steps concert series, set to light up the Sydney Opera House Forecourt from 2-15 December.

Remember 2014? Flume was everywhere, people still used Facebook events, and Chet Faker’s Built on Glass was basically unavoidable. A decade later, the bearded crooner is dusting off the record that made him a household name and playing it front-to-back on the Sydney Opera House steps, December 2.

Nick Murphy, best known to the world as Chet Faker, has returned with a brand-new single, Inefficient Love, released today through BMG. The track follows Far Side of the Moon and sees one of Australia’s most distinctive songwriters once again baring his soul.

Two more shows have been added to the Live At The Gardens series of shows at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. Chet Faker will perform his Built On Glass 10th anniversary show and Tash Sultana will perform two days later.

Harvest II has been announced for Adelaide with Jamiroquai (Australian exclusive), Beck (Australian exclusive), Paul Kelly, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Thelma Plum, Santigold, Sparks, Julia Jacklin, Bright Eyes, Flight Facilities (decade DJ set), Chet Faker, Chromeo, Ocean Alley, Vera Blue, Baker Boy, Ladyhawke, The Rolling Stones Revue (Ft. Adalita, Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers), The Lemon Twigs, Built to Spill, Bad//Dreems, Sam Barber and more to be announced.

Nick Murphy (the artist formerly known as Chet Faker) will release a new album ‘Run Fast Sleep Naked’ on April 26.
